Dane Peden

(Houston, Texas) GMC is proud to welcome Dane Peden as the new Operations Manager for the United States Gulf division.In this position, Mr. Peden will oversee U.S. Gulf marine vessel operations, including port calls and offshore logistics.

"Dane is such a valuable addition to our team," says Clark Buffam, Chief Operations Officer of GMC. "His passion for the maritime industry is matched only by his distinguished career in both onshore and offshore operations."

Mr. Peden comes to GMC from Seagull Marine Inc., where he held several positions over the last ten years. Mr. Peden started his work at the company as a vessel agent before working his way up to Houston Operations Manager- Marine Division. Most recently, Mr. Peden held the position of Western Gulf Operations Manager for the past five years.

Mr. Peden holds a degree in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M Galveston. During his time as an Aggie, he was a member of many prestigious organizations, including the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Mr. Peden also holds a United States Coast Guard (USCG) License from the Texas Maritime Academy. While training for his USCG Third Mate's License at Texas A&M, he sailed aboard various tankers, general cargo ships, and supply boats across the globe. After receiving his USCG License, Mr. Peden worked aboard rigs and supply boats in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. His last offshore career was working onboard a supply boat assisting with the B.P. oil spill cleanup.

When he's not working, Mr. Peden loves to spend time with his wife and three children. He also is an avid fisherman and enjoys riding bikes, sailing, and restoring cars.
